
Farhat Iminov presented the goals and objectives of the national council, as well as the activities of the secretariat as its executive body. He pointed out that the virtual asset market in Kyrgyzstan is entering a phase of institutional growth, reaching a turnover of about 860 billion soms in the first six months of 2025.
Iminov also noted that initiatives such as the introduction of a digital som, tokenization of real assets, and increasing the level of digital financial literacy, as well as improving legislation and creating the necessary infrastructure, will help make Kyrgyzstan a regional hub for Web3 technologies, considering global trends.
It is worth noting that KGST became the first stablecoin among the CIS countries to be listed on the global cryptocurrency platform Binance.
As part of the agreements reached during the meeting between the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and the USA, Sadyr Japarov and Donald Trump in November 2025, Iminov emphasized the priority of the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and the IT sector in Kyrgyz-American cooperation.
The U.S. Ambassador noted that Kyrgyzstan is demonstrating rapid development in the field of virtual assets, outpacing other Central Asian countries in the growth rate of this sector, and pointed out the significant potential for its further expansion.
In this regard, there is an expressed interest in deepening cooperation with the Kyrgyz side, including sharing experiences with relevant government agencies and companies in the USA on the development and regulation of virtual assets, as well as organizing specialized programs and training.
