On February 26, employees of the ombudsman institute of the Kyrgyz Republic conducted an inspection at institution No. 27 of the State Penitentiary Service to assess the compliance with the rights of the convicted individuals and spoke with them.
As a result of the inspection, three statements were received, including a request from the citizen of Germany, who is serving a five-year prison sentence. He asked to inform the German embassy of his whereabouts.
It should be noted that the citizen of Germany was convicted under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic for "Manufacturing and distributing extremist materials."
