Recently, alarming messages from residents of Bishkek appeared on social media and in some media outlets regarding the numbering of trees on the Erkindik and Young Guards boulevards. This raised concerns that the plantings might be cut down during the upcoming reconstruction.

In response to these rumors, the city hall, citing information from the Municipal Enterprise "Bishkekzelenstroy," published clarifications.

According to a city hall representative, as part of the work of the Environmental Council, a decision was made to create a unified register of green plantings in the capital. This initiative received support from the public, which suggested including all trees in the register. In this regard, the mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, instructed the Municipal Enterprise "Center for Digital Technologies" to develop electronic maps that would allow residents to obtain information about the condition of green plantings. Work is already underway in all parks and squares of the city.

Each tree will receive a unique tag that will serve as a "passport." This document will record key data about the tree: its species, age, trunk diameter, height, current condition, and other characteristics. Such a system will allow specialists to monitor the "history" of each tree and provide proper care for it. The inventory is necessary for assessing the condition of the trees, planning care for them, timely treatment, and replacement of hazardous plantings. This is part of efforts to preserve and develop the city's green fund, the city hall clarified.
