In the village of Novopokrovka, located in the Chuy region, the opening of a new regional maternity hospital with a capacity of 100 beds is expected. This medical facility will be housed in a building that was previously used as a hospital, after the completion of major renovations. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Health.
The Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, Damir Osmonov, checked the progress of the renovation work during his working trip.
As reported by the health coordinator in the Chuy region, Almaz Askarov, funds for the major repairs were allocated from the stabilization fund, with the completion of the work scheduled for November of this year.
It should be noted that currently, the activities of the Chuy Regional Maternity Hospital are being carried out in the premises of a former kindergarten, which significantly limits the ability to provide quality specialized medical care.
