The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Strengthens Its Position: Year Results and Plans for SCO

The annual meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, with experts took place in Bishkek. At this event, he summarized the work of the diplomatic service for the year 2025 and outlined current tasks.

The Minister noted that an important achievement was the completion of the border delimitation process with Tajikistan, which he believes is a significant step towards strengthening stability in the region.

On the international stage, Kyrgyzstan demonstrated high activity, holding about 190 meetings and visits, signing over 600 documents, and expanding its diplomatic network by opening embassies in Ethiopia and Egypt.

Kulubaev also emphasized the digitization of consular services, highlighting the launch of the "Electronic Consul" system, which has reduced the time for document processing by four times and increased voter turnout among citizens in the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh abroad.

The Minister confirmed that Kyrgyzstan adheres to a multi-vector foreign policy, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a balance in relations with Russia, China, Central Asian countries, and the West.

Discussing plans for 2026, he highlighted Kyrgyzstan's upcoming chairmanship in the SCO, as well as preparations for the VI World Nomad Games and the Issyk-Kul Forum named after Chinghiz Aitmatov.

At the end of the meeting, the Minister answered questions from experts and expressed readiness for an open dialogue from the ministry's side.
