Deputy Minister of Education Nadira Jusupekova noted that automatic enrollment in the second grade was only possible last year as part of the first phase of the transition to a 12-year education system. This approach will not be applied this year, which parents were informed about in advance.
“We will consider each child individually. First of all, we will take into account the year of birth, then the preparation program they completed in kindergarten, and their level of readiness. At the same time, no exams are planned. All issues will be resolved individually, and we do not intend to make changes to the rules,” the deputy minister added.
It is also worth noting that on April 1, electronic registration for children entering the first grade will begin. Parents will be able to submit an application online at the website 1mektep.edu.gov.kg.
