The Federation of Sports Wrestling of Kyrgyzstan has announced the appointment of a new coaching staff for the Greco-Roman wrestling national team.

Ulukbek Karacholokov has been approved as the head coach, and his senior assistant is Arsen Eraliyev.

Ruslan Tsarev has been appointed as the coach of the youth national team of Kyrgyzstan (U-23).

This coaching staff was formed in October after the previous coach, Uran Kalilov, left his position.

At the recent youth world championship (U-23) in Serbia, the team was unable to win any medals; however, at the Islamic Games in Saudi Arabia, they took third place, earning a total of three awards — one gold and two bronzes.

Previously, Ulukbek Karacholokov held the position of senior coach of the Kyrgyzstan national team under Azat Erkimbaev, but after the Paris Olympics, his contract was not renewed.

In the summer of 2025, Azat Erkimbaev signed a contract with the Egyptian Federation and is now leading that team.
