The organizers noted that about 100 athletes participated in the event. These motorsport disciplines are notable for their extreme nature, as participants compete in cars and motorcycles on tracks filled with natural obstacles and challenging sections.
“This is a circuit race. We marked the track and set lines that participants in each category must follow, strictly adhering to the rules,” explained one of the organizers, Ömürbek Azhibaev.
This year, the competition included representatives from Uzbekistan, athletes from the Batken region, as well as racers from Bishkek and Osh.
“Participants from Uzbekistan, Batken, and Bishkek, as well as local athletes from Osh also came,” he added.
Unlike previous years, this year not only car races were organized, but also motorcycle competitions. There were 40 racers in the jeep sprint and 70 in the enduro.
Athletes competed in different categories. In the jeep sprint, four groups were distinguished:
novices;
standard;
sport;
absolute.
Among the enduro participants were both novices and professionals.
These competitions are held for the fourth time and aim to popularize motorsport among the population, attract tourists, and develop local motorsport on the international stage. The number of spectators is growing each year, and this year hundreds of fans attended the competition.
“We organize such events not only to increase interest in motorsport but also to promote local sports to a global level,” emphasized Ö. Azhibaev.
