In Kara-Kul, located in the Jalal-Abad region, sports competitions and an exhibition of works were held in honor of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

According to information from the local administration, the festivities began on November 29 at the "Energetik" House of Culture, where a competition among people with disabilities took place, including singing and dancing. The following day, on December 2, competitions in six sports and a drawing contest for children with disabilities were held.

The events concluded on December 3 with a ceremonial award presentation attended by Vice Mayor Manas Abdykalykov, head of the mayor's office Aisha Anarbaeva, representatives of city services, social workers, and residents.

Winners were awarded cash prizes and diplomas. The exhibition of drawings, showcasing the best works of the competition participants, particularly captured the interest of visitors.

The mayor's office noted that the main objectives of the events were to draw attention to the role of people with disabilities in society, to create conditions for the development of their sports and creative talents, and to support their socialization.

As part of the decade of events, 1,169 citizens with disabilities received financial assistance of 500 soms per person. From the local budget, 20,000 soms were allocated for the organization of the cultural event, with total expenses amounting to 604,000 soms.
