The event, timed to coincide with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, celebrated on December 3, was attended by government representatives: the presidential envoy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Jalal-Abad region, Tilek Tekebaev, and the mayor of Manas, Ernis Ormokov. They met with the children living in the institution.
Tekebaev emphasized that the state is taking all necessary measures to ensure comfortable and safe living conditions for children with disabilities. He also handed over 50,000 soms allocated from the reserve fund. The city mayor also provided financial assistance and promised to build a new children's playground for the residents.
The institution cares for more than 100 children aged from 4 to 18 years.
In the Jalal-Abad region, there are 53,566 people with disabilities. To date, an additional 120,000 soms have been allocated from the reserve fund of the authorized representative to support social stationary institutions in the region.
