In the city of Karakol, a month-long campaign in support of people with disabilities has begun.

In connection with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which falls on December 3, the administration of Karakol has initiated a charity month called "We Are Together!", as reported by a Turmush correspondent.

Budget funds from the local treasury have been allocated for organizing various events.

So far, an entertainment program has taken place at the children's playground "Ruslan," where 100 children with disabilities participated.

Additionally, workshops and a concert are being held at the children's educational center for 30 children.

As part of the charity month, fundraising events have been organized to provide targeted material assistance to lonely and needy citizens registered with the city social protection department.

According to current statistical data, the population of Karakol today is 90,716 people, among whom 3,144 are registered as persons with disabilities, which accounts for 2.9% of the total population.

In the city social fund department, 1,902 people are registered, including:

— 131 people with Group I disabilities

— 1,577 people with Group II disabilities

— 180 people with Group III disabilities

— 14 individuals affected by the Chernobyl disaster (ISA)

In the department of labor, social protection, and migration, 1,242 citizens are registered, including:

— 483 children with disabilities under 18 years old

— 88 children diagnosed with cerebral palsy

— 537 people with childhood disabilities, among whom: 94 with Group I, 289 with Group II, and 154 with Group III

— 124 citizens with general illnesses: 14 with Group I, 92 with Group II, and 18 with Group III.
