Maksat Alimov has officially retired from the national futsal team. This became known through information provided by the Kyrgyz Football Union (KFS).

According to KFS, Alimov's last match for the national team took place during the group stage of the 2026 Asian Cup against South Korea.
His journey with the national team began in 2013 with the qualifying matches for the Asian Cup. Throughout his career, he became an integral part of the history of Kyrgyz futsal, participating in five Asian Cups and serving as captain from 2018 to 2025. Alimov is remembered for many key goals and became a true inspiration for his teammates, leading them to victories,” the official statement notes.
The Kyrgyz Football Union expressed gratitude to Maksat Alimov for his significant contribution to the development of futsal in Kyrgyzstan.
