
Ulanbek Satiev, the General Director of the National Television and Radio Corporation of Kyrgyzstan, noted that the channel "Sport" has acquired the license for live broadcasting of the Olympic Games for the first time in its history. Now, residents of Kyrgyzstan will be able to watch the sporting events live through the channel, cable networks, and mobile applications.
Satiev emphasized that this event significantly expands the opportunities for viewers who wish to follow major international sporting events.
The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games will be broadcast on the night of February 6 to 7 at 01:00 on the "NTRK Sport" channel.
The XXV Winter Olympic Games are scheduled to take place from February 6 to 22, 2026, in Italy. Events will be held in cities such as Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, as well as in other northern regions of the country. Around 2,900 athletes from more than 90 countries are expected to participate.
Kyrgyzstan will be represented at the Winter Olympics by two athletes competing in alpine skiing and cross-country skiing.
