A working meeting was recently held, organized by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Tourism, and Youth Policy of the city administration, where athletes representing Bishkek and Kyrgyzstan discussed their plans on the international stage.
The delegation includes the following athletes:
- Barsbek Rayymbekov (born 2007);
- Daniil Lepikhov (born 2007);
- Rustam Islamov (born 2007);
- Aka Kenesheva (born 2006).
The Asian Fencing Championship will take place in Jakarta (Indonesia) from February 22 to 28. A total of four athletes from the capital will participate in this tournament.
As reported by the team coach Alexander Chernykh, the athletes are currently at training camps in Tashkent, which will last until February 19. Then, from February 19 to 21, they will participate in preparatory competitions in Sochi.
During the meeting, the athletes received encouragement and wishes for successful performances, high results, and worthy representation of their country at the upcoming championship.
