In the village of Sosnovka, located in the Jayil district of the Chui region, Baktybek Abdyrazakov, a freestyle wrestling coach, was generously rewarded for his many years of effort. His students and their parents decided to express their gratitude by gifting him a car and a vacation package.

This idea arose among the local residents. In a relatively short time, both former and current students, along with their parents and other concerned residents, raised funds for the gift. As a result, the coach received a 2019 Hyundai Sonata, as well as a set of winter tires, a polishing certificate, fuel vouchers, and a vacation package to Antalya for himself and his wife Nazira.

The car's license plate was chosen for its symbolic meaning: 079 is the year of the coach's birth, and the letters ABK are his initials.

Baktybek Abdyrazakov shared: “I was planning to take out a loan...,” although he recently renewed his driver's license, he still couldn't afford a new car.

“My wife works as a nurse, and I am a coach. Our salary does not allow for large purchases, and I had already looked into loan conditions at banks. It seems my students found out about this and decided to help me,” he added.

The coach's wife, Nazira, has always been by the team's side during training camps — she cooked for the boys and helped in the role of a nurse. The students also remembered her: in April, the couple will go on vacation to Turkey for a week.

Baktybek Abdyrazakov, originally from Sosnovka, was born in 1979. He started wrestling, following in his father's footsteps. After graduating from a physical education institute with a degree in "coaching," he returned to his native village to work.

The beginning of his career was not easy: classes were held in a small room measuring 4 by 5 meters, located in the building of an old kindergarten. Training sessions were conducted in age groups on a rotating basis. In 2008, local residents helped transform a former cafeteria into a full-fledged wrestling hall, and in 2018, new mats were purchased, and the facility was insulated.

Now Baktybek is the senior coach in the wrestling hall and a physical education teacher at the local school, which has over 1,850 children enrolled. Over the years, he has trained at least a thousand athletes, among whom are republic champions, masters of sports, and members of the Kyrgyzstan national team. One of his students is Adilet Anarbekov, a multiple national champion who currently lives and works in the USA.

However, the coach himself believes that the greatest value lies not in medals.

“My main achievement is not the titles. The most important thing is that I was able to instill a love for sports and a healthy lifestyle in children. We continue to stay in touch, and their gift has become an inspiration for me and a confirmation that my efforts were not in vain,” he emphasizes.

The director of the Jayil District Children's and Youth Sports School, Nurzhan Suimonaliev, noted that this is the most generous gift he has ever seen in his practice from grateful students to their coach.
