Essence of the Incident
A. M. filed a statement with law enforcement, demanding action against the coach of her underage daughter E. A., born in 2019. According to the applicant, on December 24, 2025, her daughter sustained serious injuries during training.As a result of the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 130 "Causing serious harm to health" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the investigation, the identity of the suspect, A. N., born in 2002, was established, and she was detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek.

Any injury in sports is a serious trial, and the safety of young athletes must always be the top priority for coaches and sports organizations. We understand the emotional burden of this situation and the public interest in it.It is important to note that rhythmic gymnastics is a technically complex and injury-prone sport associated with high physical loads. Even when following all training methodologies and safety rules, the risk of injuries cannot be completely eliminated. Unfortunately, similar incidents occur in global sports as well.
The professional community is concerned that what happened is being perceived as intentional harm, and strict measures have been applied to the coach during a period when the investigation is still ongoing. This is a troubling signal for coaches: an accident during the training process can be perceived as a deliberate crime.The Federation believes that the legal assessment should be based on a comprehensive and objective analysis involving specialists in sports medicine and training methodology. It is necessary to establish the factual circumstances without emotional pressure and premature conclusions.
We hope for a balanced and fair approach from the competent authorities, taking into account the specifics of sports activities and the principle of presumption of innocence.
