The Kyrgyz Republic is planning a large-scale reform in the field of physical culture and sports. The State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports has presented a draft resolution regarding the new "Program for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports until 2030," which is currently being discussed by the public.

This long-term program aims not only to prepare champions but also to create an active and healthy society. The explanatory note emphasizes that this document is part of the National Development Program of the country and is aimed at improving the health of the nation, increasing the physical activity of the population, and strengthening Kyrgyzstan's position on the international sports stage.

Proposals for Changes

The authors of the program acknowledge the existence of many systemic problems in the sports sector, including insufficient mass participation, outdated infrastructure, and a lack of qualified coaches. It is expected that the new program will serve as a "roadmap" for addressing these issues.

Sports for All Population Categories

One of the key tasks will be the development of mass and accessible sports. Plans include involving all age and social groups in physical culture activities, creating inclusive infrastructure, and supporting sports sections in schools and enterprises. The program also envisions the implementation of a three-tiered competition system covering district and republican levels.

Digitalization of the Sports Sector

Special attention will be given to the digitalization of the industry. Among the planned activities are the introduction of electronic accounting of sports achievements, digital passporting of facilities, creation of online platforms, and integration with the "Tündük" system, which should enhance transparency in the sports sector.

Support for Various Sports

The program covers not only Olympic sports but also supports national and non-Olympic disciplines, including esports. Special attention will be paid to preparations for the World Nomad Games in 2026, including the selection of the national team and ensuring the necessary infrastructure.

Development of Human Resources

An important aspect of the program will be the improvement of coach qualifications and the introduction of new standards for training specialists. At the same time, optimization of the work of state sports institutions is planned.

Support for Athletes and Coaches

The program includes measures to improve social support for athletes and coaches, including salary increases and the introduction of a scholarship system, which will be implemented in phases.

Sports Medicine in Focus

Great attention will be paid to sports medicine. Branches of sports medical centers are planned to be opened in each region, and the existing Sports Medicine Center will be modernized with an expansion of its functions.

Creation of a Youth Team Training Center

A key innovation will be the establishment of a Youth Team Training Center, which will unite the work of sports schools and national teams, as well as promote systematic training of reserves and increase the motivation of young athletes.

The draft of the new program for the development of physical culture and sports until 2030 has already been put forward for public discussion. It is expected that based on the results, the document will be revised and become the foundation for long-term state policy in the sports sector.
