The Government of Kyrgyzstan has presented a new large-scale program aimed at the development of physical culture and sports until 2030. This document will serve as a roadmap for the modernization of the sports sector in the country in the coming years.

The program covers many areas, including mass and professional sports, infrastructure development, training of specialists, digitalization, and support for national sports. The main task is to create an accessible and modern system that will help improve the health of citizens and enhance the competitiveness of athletes on the international stage.

Currently, only 15% of the population of Kyrgyzstan regularly engages in sports.

As part of the new initiative, the authorities plan to increase this figure to 30%. To achieve this, access to sports sections, school leagues, student competitions, and events for adults and the elderly will be expanded. Every year, more than 3,000 mass events promoting physical activity are planned to be held in the country.

Special attention will be paid to improving sports infrastructure. The program includes the construction of accessible sports facilities in rural areas, the creation of sports zones and tracks, as well as the construction of modular complexes. The government will also conduct an inventory of sports facilities across the republic to address the infrastructure deficit, especially in villages.

The training of specialists such as sports doctors, psychologists, nutritionists, coaches, and referees will also become an important part of the program.

It is planned to update the education system, increase the number of places in state orders for coaches, and create regional centers for sports medicine.

A separate section of the program will be dedicated to high-performance sports: the construction of training bases, improving the preparation of reserve athletes, and increasing the participation of national teams in international competitions.

Support will also be provided for national sports such as kok-boru and Kyrgyz kyz kuu games, with development centers opened in each region of the country.

Digitalization will be a key element of the reform. A national digital platform for e-sport is planned to be created, which will gather data on athletes, coaches, competitions, and sports facilities, as well as automate government services and monitor results.

All state and municipal structures involved in the implementation of the program will provide reports on the progress of the plan twice a year.
