During a recent meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, priority areas for work in 2026 were established.
Health Minister Kanybek Dosmambetov noted that among the main tasks is the modernization of the healthcare system. This includes updating medical infrastructure, ensuring the population has access to quality and affordable medicines, modern medical products and equipment, as well as developing human resources in this field.
Key tasks for 2026 also include reducing maternal and infant mortality, revising approaches to the treatment of oncological diseases with an emphasis on the accessibility of diagnostics and medication therapy, as well as increasing efforts to reduce mortality from cardiovascular diseases by strengthening primary healthcare and expanding preventive measures.
