The battle between the athletes will take place today, March 27, during the PWL 11 tournament, which is being held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
"Tashkent is one of my favorite cities. The cuisine here is incredible, especially the plov," he noted.
"Nao Kusaka is a person with a kind heart and a strong sense of honor. He is not only an Olympic champion but also demonstrates the qualities of a true champion in life. Great achievements come to those who behave decently both on and off the mat. I find Nao to be a very pleasant and kind person," added Akjol Makmudov at the press conference before the tournament.
The match will take place in the weight category up to 77 kg.
This is not the first meeting between the wrestlers: Makmudov and Kusaka have already faced each other twice, and their personal record stands at 1:1.
