Memorial House-Museum of Ishak Razzakov

This museum complex was established not long ago, on December 25, 2005. The exhibition is entirely dedicated to Ishak Razzakov — a famous Kyrgyz politician and statesman. Razzakov is known for being the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the country. This great figure in the history of Kyrgyzstan has been awarded the honorary title of Hero of the Republic.

Here, more than 300 photographs and over a hundred documents - references, notifications, honorary documents - are stored. There are many personal items - books, clothing, furniture, and interior objects. You can familiarize yourself with the politician's awards, which include four Orders of Lenin, two Orders of the Red Banner of Labor, and the Order of the Patriotic War I class.

These exhibits were brought from the Memorial House-Museum of Razzakov in the city of Isfana (Batken region).

The exhibition is periodically updated, with some of the exhibits transferred to Bishkek from another memorial dedicated to Razzakov, located in the Betken region.

The interior and furnishings have hardly changed since the house-museum was an ordinary residence for the family of the statesman.

The house No. 90 on Chuykov Street, intended for the residence of high-ranking officials of the republic, was built in 1938. Initially, the second first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (B) of the Kyrgyz SSR, Alexey Vlasovich Vagov, lived here. Then his successor - Nikolai Semyonovich Bogolyubov. In 1950, the house was occupied by Ishak Razzakov, who lived there for 11 years until 1961, when he was removed from the position of First Secretary.

Turdaikun Usubaliev, who came to the post, settled elsewhere. Once the residence of the first secretaries became a kindergarten, and later it was completely repurposed into an office for international organizations. Only in 2005 was a memorial museum dedicated to the life and activities of Ishak Razzakovich opened here.

The house has 7 rooms. Of particular interest is Razzakov's study, where original elements of the interior have been preserved.

The desk of the first secretary with a desk lamp on it, along with stationery, and a portrait of his favorite writer - Anton Chekhov. In the living room, there is a piano (played by his daughter), above which hangs a reproduction of "The Ninth Wave" by Aivazovsky. The other four rooms also contain many interesting items: books, clothing, gifts, and other belongings of the Razzakov family. A large part of the exhibition is presented with archival photos and documents that tell not only about the life of the statesman but also about the period of industrialization in the country.

The museum tours are informative, with the information presented in an interesting and lively manner, without formality or the use of dry historical facts.
