DJEKSHENBAEV Shibek Sulaymankulovich
Architect. Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz SSR named after Toktogul.
Born in 1947 in the village of Saylyk, Chui region of the Kyrgyz SSR.
In 1971, he graduated from the architectural and construction faculty of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute. After completing his studies, he worked at the "Kyrgyzgiproselkhoz" institute (now "TsNIIPEvtsprom") as an architect, where he participated in the development of housing and public building projects for rural areas.
From 1975 to 1976, he worked as the head of the architectural group at the "FrunzeGorProject" institute.
In 1976, together with architects R. Mukhamadiev and A. Zusik, he won a competition with the right to implement the project for the building of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan.
Earlier, in 1971, Sh. Djekshenbaev, along with architects D. Yryskulov and V. Nazarov, received the right to develop and implement the project for the Kyrgyz State Museum of Fine Arts.
From 1976 to 1979, he was a lecturer at the Department of Architectural Design of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute.
From 1979 to 1981, he was a student at the Higher Courses for Screenwriters and Film Directors in Moscow under the USSR State Cinema.
Since 1981, he has been working as a director of animated films at the "Kyrgyzfilm" studio.
As an artist, he has long and fruitfully collaborated with the publishing houses "Kyrgyzstan" and "Mektep". Sh. Djekshenbaev is the author of the emblem of the "VDNH of the Kyrgyz SSR" and the medal "Participant of the VDNH of the Kyrgyz SSR".
In 1976, he was awarded a diploma at the IX International Film Festival of Asian, African, and Latin American countries in Tashkent for the film "How the Son Saved His Father"; at the "Bastau-87" film festival in Almaty in 1986, he received the Grand Prize in the animated film category for the film "The Theater of the Jester Rustam". The State Prize named after Toktogul was awarded to Sh. Djekshenbaev for the architecture and construction of the Kyrgyz State Museum of Fine Arts.
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1975.

1976. Republican competition. Building of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan and the Council of Ministers of the Kyrgyz SSR (as part of a team, 2nd prize).
