Presidents of five countries met in Tashkent

Visit to the Center for Islamic Civilization

In the capital of Uzbekistan, a meeting was held between the leaders of five countries: Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

This meeting served as a precursor to the seventh consultative meeting of Central Asian leaders. During the event, the delegations visited the Center for Islamic Civilization, where rare manuscripts, artifacts, and exhibitions reflecting the spiritual and scientific heritage of the region are presented.

Particular attention was given by the participants to the hall where one of the oldest manuscripts of the Islamic world — the Mushaf of Uthman — is stored.

As part of the tour, exhibitions dedicated to the First and Second Renaissance, outstanding thinkers of the region, and unique manuscripts related to various historical dynasties were also presented.

At the conclusion of the event, a ceremony was held to award the international prize "Heritage of the Future." In the "Literature" category, the award was received by the Secretary General of TURKSOY, the People's Writer of Kyrgyzstan, Sultan Raev.

This award aims to encourage individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of literature, culture, science, art, education, and digital technologies.
