At a recent meeting of the agriculture ministers of Central Asian countries held in Tashkent, Ibrahim Abdurakhmonov, head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, announced four key initiatives aimed at developing regional cooperation, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.

One of the proposed ideas was the creation of a Digital Agricultural Alliance, as well as a unified platform for the implementation of digital technologies in the region's agriculture. In addition, the minister called for the establishment of a system that ensures prompt response to pest threats and plant protection for all Central Asian countries.

Uzbekistan also proposed to establish a Center for Agro-Biological Knowledge and Innovations in Tashkent with the support of FAO. Additionally, the idea of creating an agricultural innovation hub for landlocked countries was suggested, which would be an important step towards improving food security in the region.
