At the SCO Secretariat, the promotion of Kyrgyzstan's candidacy to the UN Security Council was discussed

At a briefing organized by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the country's permanent representative to the SCO Secretariat, Rahman Adanov, presented information about the Address of the Heads of State of Central Asia signed on November 16 in Tashkent. In this document, the region's leaders called on UN member states to support Kyrgyzstan's candidacy for the elections of non-permanent members of the Security Council.

Adanov noted that Kyrgyzstan's nomination for this position emphasizes the Central Asian countries' commitment to strengthening international peace and stability. He added that if elected, Kyrgyzstan would become a responsible member of the Security Council, focused on global security, sustainable development, and joint solutions to pressing issues.

In addition, the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the SCO Secretariat, Saidkamol Agzamkhodjaev, also spoke at the briefing, where he shared the results of the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia held in Tashkent.
