Vladimir Grigoryevich Rogachev was actively engaged in the field of book art in the 1960s. He designed and illustrated over fifty publications. He also did significant work as an art editor. His illustrations for children's books were typically amusing, colorful watercolors and gouaches (M. Menshikov. "There is such a girl," "Mektep," 1965; K. Abdrakhmanov. "Why doesn't water break?" "Mektep," 1968; Ya. Zemlyak. "Are there any kids like this here?" "Mektep," 1968). Among the illustrations of Kyrgyz literature, the linocuts for M. Baidzhiev's books "Karakurt" (1962. Encouragement diploma of the All-Union Book Art Competition, Bronze medal of the VDNH of the USSR), Ch. Aitmatov's "Mother's Field" (1963. Encouragement diploma of the All-Union Competition), the play by Toktogul "Cursed Century" (1964), and Yu. Smyshlyaev's "At the Walls of Pishpek" (1965) stand out for their artistic quality.
