Kyrgyzstan – a Full-Cycle Resort Zone
There is a lot of sun in Kyrgyzstan.
The average annual duration of sunshine here ranges from 2500 to 2700 hours (in Moscow - about 1000 hours).
The peculiarities of Kyrgyzstan's climate are explained by the fact that the country is essentially located at the intersection of several climatic zones. Most of the territory is in a dry temperate zone, part of the foothills has a sharply continental climate, and the high-altitude areas have winter temperatures similar to those of the tundra. From a tourism perspective, Kyrgyzstan is a full-cycle resort area where one can relax and enjoy nature in every month of the year.
Spring and early autumn are the best times to visit the country. In spring, the brief period of flowering in the desert and on the mountain slopes creates an extremely colorful landscape, while the warm and quite mild weather from September to early November coincides with the harvest season, when all the markets are filled with vegetables and fruits. July and August are the best months to visit the mountainous areas, although the weather here can be quite changeable at any time of the year, so it is advisable to have a necessary supply of warm clothing and equipment. Rain begins in November, and in December snow covers the mountain passes. The ski season lasts from late October - early December until the end of April. Nights can be cool at any time of the year.
