Petrovsky Peak
Petrovsky Peak (4910 m) - near Lenin Peak;
Petrovsky Peak, in English Petrovskij Pik, is a medium-height summit. In terms of geographical location, the peak is characterized as follows: Eurasia (Asia), Central Asian ranges, Pamir. In terms of administrative affiliation, the peak is characterized as follows: Kyrgyzstan.
The height of the mountain is four thousand seven hundred meters, or fifteen thousand four hundred twenty feet. The high season for ascents is in July, August, and September. Climbing such a peak as Petrovsky Peak still requires serious organization and attention to detail; however, such an ascent is no longer comparable in difficulty to expeditions to the highest peaks in the world. For overcoming some icy and rocky sections, crampons, an ice axe, and insurance may still be required, while issues of weather and logistics play a lesser role.
The organization of several intermediate camps is unlikely to be necessary; the summit can be reached in one assault day under favorable conditions.
