According to the press service of the Presidential Administration, 24,914 educators participated in the testing.
The results were distributed as follows:
- geography — 2,538 teachers, knowledge quality was 74.27%;
- biology — 3,053 teachers, knowledge quality was 65.87%;
- chemistry — 2,114 teachers, knowledge quality was 74.2%;
- physics — 2,547 teachers, knowledge quality was 79.62%;
- mathematics — 6,011 teachers, knowledge quality was 74.62%;
- computer science — 2,570 teachers, knowledge quality was 77%;
- English language — 2,547 teachers, knowledge quality was 77.12%.
Based on the data obtained, the Ministry of Education plans to develop special programs for the professional development and retraining of educators. An update of the work of methodological centers that provide support to teachers in accordance with modern standards is also anticipated.
The main goal of the testing is to determine how well the level of knowledge of educators corresponds to professional standards, to assess the implementation of the state educational standard and subject standards in the fields of natural, mathematical, and humanitarian sciences (including English language), to plan continuous professional development for teachers, and to evaluate the use of computer technologies in the educational process, including the completion of tests.
The testing was organized by the Department for Quality Education Development under the Ministry of Education.
