Recall that in September of this year, the Sverdlovsk District Court charged Rita Karasartova under Articles 278 "Mass Riots" and 327 "Public Calls for Violent Seizure of Power" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, imposing a fine of 50,000 soms and probation supervision for a period of five years.
The defenders of the human rights activist appealed this decision to the city court; however, today the appellate panel upheld it. Thus, the conditions of probation supervision and the penalty remain in effect.
