According to the press service of the Cabinet, the events took place in four schools in the Kochkor district of the Naryn region.
From February 9 to 12, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Children's Rights, together with the Public Association "Children's Protection Center," initiated the second stage of the information caravan, which is being implemented as part of the Action Plan for the implementation of the recommendations of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child. It will continue until November of this year.
The main objective of the events is to foster an active life position in children, based on respect for themselves and others, which is the result of positive upbringing in the family and a safe educational environment.
About 450 schoolchildren and 280 parents participated in the events.
As part of the information caravan, educational activities were organized on the theme "Let's unite efforts for the safety of children." During meetings and discussions with teachers, parents, and local authorities, issues of violence prevention and strengthening the child protection system at the local level were addressed. Practical sessions on positive parenting and psychological consultations aimed at improving relationships between children and parents were also conducted.
The information caravan will continue in the Chui, Issyk-Kul, and Osh regions.
In the first stage of the information caravan, events were held in 12 schools, including 6 institutions in the Issyk-Kul region (Tüp and Jeti-Oguz districts), 2 schools in the Chui region, and 4 schools in Bishkek. This stage involved 1,300 students from grades 7 to 11 and 620 parents.
