On his Facebook page, political scientist Emil Djuraev shared his opinion on the recent resignation and its possible consequences for two influential figures in power.
According to Djuraev, Tashiev's resignation was a predictable step that had been brewing for a long time. With the elections approaching, questions regarding contentious terms only intensified the need for this decision. "Sooner or later, this had to happen. In politics, especially at a high level, even the strongest friendships have their limits. The example of a tandem that lasted more than five years can be considered an exception," he noted.
He also added that future events remain unpredictable, and there is a risk of worsening relations between the former partners.
“I regret to note that the friendship is unlikely to be preserved. However, this is part of real political life, and there is nothing tragic about it. It is important for both sides to responsibly navigate this period, considering all the risks,” emphasized the political scientist.
Djuraev highlighted that it was the cooperation between the two leaders that formed the basis for the most significant achievements of recent years.
“The most serious results were achieved precisely because of their alliance, but shortcomings did not spare this model of power,” he added.
Nevertheless, the political scientist called for caution in assessments and criticism at this moment.
“There have been many mistakes, but discussing them now would not be constructive. It is important not to allow external forces to interfere in our affairs, as they may have their own interests,” Djuraev said, pointing to the need to address issues within the country.
In conclusion, the political scientist noted that changes will also affect the deputies.
“Now, occupying an uncertain position in the legislative power will become much more difficult,” he summarized.
