Five years at the helm of the state: how Kyrgyzstan has changed under Sadyr Japarov
Political experts emphasize that the reforms implemented in Kyrgyzstan are aimed at a deep systemic restructuring of the state and cover all key areas, already yielding significant results. Large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects have been launched at both regional and international levels.

Important and even revolutionary changes have taken place in the country. Public and political figure Zainidin Kurmanov notes that these reforms are not isolated but encompass a wide range of issues, including the transition to a new Constitution and changes in management priorities. "Corruption and bureaucracy are gradually being eliminated, and executive discipline is increasing. Kyrgyzstan should become a key link on the East-West route, especially against the backdrop of the development of railway networks in Central Asia, contributing to global changes in the geopolitical landscape," he adds.

The nationalization of "Kumtor" is of immense significance, as the mine now benefits the people of the country, allowing them to realize how previous authorities utilized resources. Significant changes are also observed in the energy sector, including the construction of the largest hydropower plant in the region, "Kambar-Ata – 1," in cooperation with neighboring states.

Another important project is the construction of the railway from China to Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. This route is already under construction, and with its commissioning, Kyrgyzstan will be able to overcome transportation difficulties, ensuring budget revenues from cargo transportation and integrating into global trade.

Thanks to the political will of Sadyr Japarov, it has also been possible to resolve territorial disputes with Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, which is considered a significant achievement. The elimination of borders within Central Asia has strengthened ties with neighbors and reduced the risk of conflicts, creating conditions for peace and mutual prosperity.

The economy has partially emerged from the shadows due to improved tax administration and the introduction of cash registers. Over five years, the republic's budget has tripled, allowing for increased salaries for medical workers and teachers, while minimum pensions have for the first time exceeded the subsistence minimum. However, high inflation rates remain a problem that needs to be addressed to improve the living standards of citizens.

One of the most significant factors is the support of the population for the current authorities and the president. Citizens feel the changes, believe in their leader, and hope that the development course chosen by the country will strengthen its positions and improve living standards, says Zainidin Kurmanov.

Management has become more effective, and Kyrgyzstan has transitioned to a new economic model, making the country dynamically developing, notes former Foreign Minister Alikbek Jekshenkulov.

Summarizing the five-year presidency of Sadyr Japarov, it can be confidently stated that Kyrgyzstan has changed beyond recognition for the better. Domestic and foreign policies have become more systematic, with the main priorities being the interests of the state and the well-being of the people.

It is also important to note issues of internal security. The strengthening of the state has been made possible by the neutralization of criminal structures that previously hindered economic development and created threats to political stability.

As for external security, resolving border issues with neighbors has played a key role. Strengthening relations with Tajikistan and Uzbekistan has significantly improved the situation in the region. All three leaders who contribute to peace and prosperity in Central Asia have been awarded the Lev Tolstoy Prize, which can be called the "Peace Prize." Sadyr Japarov's personal contribution to the signing of the border agreement was quite significant.

The strengthening of statehood and the vertical of power, as well as the introduction of the People's Kurultai institution and electoral system reforms, testify to the high effectiveness of the authorities' actions. Kyrgyzstan strives to create a new developed society and strong governance institutions.

Look at the indicators of economic growth: in terms of GDP growth rates, the republic ranks third in the world and is a leader among the SCO, EAEU, and CIS countries. We are moving along the path of creation at a good pace.

As an international expert, I note that Kyrgyzstan's positions in the world have significantly strengthened. The republic is spoken of in a positive light, and this attracts the attention of investors," concludes Alikbek Jekshenkulov.

Over the past five years, Kyrgyzstan has made significant strides in transformations that could have taken decades under different historical conditions. Today, we observe a country in the process of development, confidently moving forward and strengthening its economy.
