Storm Warning: List of Road Sections Where Avalanches, Drifts, and Ice Are Expected

According to reports from Kyrgyzhydromet, on January 24, avalanches, snow drifts, ice crust, and icy conditions are predicted in the mountainous areas of Kyrgyzstan, as well as on certain sections of the roads.

Sections of roads with deteriorating weather conditions

Road Bishkek—Osh:

121–138 km (Töö-Ashuu Pass)

198–255 km (Ala-Bel Pass, Chychkan Gorge)

Road Ala-Buka—Kanysh-Kyya:

68–74 km

86–101 km (Chapchyma Pass)

Road Krasnaya Gorka—Ak-Tash:

0–3 km

Road Myrza-Ake—Kara-Kulja—Alaikuu:

65–110 km

Road Karakol—Enilchek:

45–90 km (Chong-Ashuu Pass)

Road Balikchy—Kazar-man—Jalal-Abad:

326–349 km (Kok-Art Pass)

Kyrgyzhydromet specialists emphasize that when traveling through avalanche-prone areas, it is extremely important to maintain a safe distance of 500 meters between vehicles.
