In London, from December 1 to 6, London Mining Week is taking place, featuring the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan, Meder Mashiev.

It has been reported that on the first day of the event, he spoke at a plenary session attended by many ministers from Central Asia, discussing Kyrgyzstan's potential and efforts to attract investment in the critical minerals sector.

Additionally, the minister participated in a governmental roundtable dedicated to critical minerals and spoke at the Thirteenth Conference on Mining and Mineral Exploration in Eurasia. During this conference, he presented the strategy for developing the critical minerals sector in Kyrgyzstan.

During his speech, Mashiev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan represents a rapidly developing economy in Central Asia, opening new opportunities for investment in the mining sector. He also explained why Kyrgyzstan is an attractive partner for international investors.

He highlighted the presence of critical minerals and promising areas for geological exploration, as well as emphasized the low-carbon structure of the energy sector, where over 90% of energy is produced at hydroelectric power stations, reducing the carbon footprint of mining and meeting international ESG requirements. The minister also reported significant improvements in the legal and investment environment.
