Storm Warning: From January 15 to 18, snow avalanches may occur in mountainous areas and passes.

From January 15 to 18, precipitation is expected in the mountainous regions of the country, which may lead to snow avalanches, the formation of snow drifts, and the occurrence of ice on certain sections of the roads. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).

The most likely places for avalanches to occur are located on the following sections:

- Bishkek—Osh road: 121-138 km (Töö-Ashuu pass) and 198-255 km (Ala-Bel pass, Chychkan gorge);
- Ala-Buka—Kanysh-Kiya road: 68-74 and 86-101 km (Chapchyma pass);
- Krasnaya Gorka—Ak-Tash road: 0-3 km;
- Myrza-Ake—Kara-Kulja—Alaykuu road: 65-110 km;
- Karakol—Enilchek road: 45-90 km (Chong-Ashuu pass);
- Balikchy—Kazaraman—Jalal-Abad road: 326-349 km (Kok-Art pass).

In this regard, the MES strongly recommends that drivers maintain a distance of 500 meters between vehicles on the specified road sections.
