
A storm warning has been issued in the mountainous areas of Kyrgyzstan and on certain highways due to expected precipitation.
According to information provided by Kyrgyzhydromet, from January 15 to 18, avalanches are expected in the mountainous regions of the country and on such roads as Bishkek-Osh (sections 121-138 km and 198-255 km - passes Too-Ashuu and Ala-Bel, Chychkan gorge), Ala-Buka-Kanysh-Kyya (68-74 and 86-101 km - Chapchyma pass), Krasnaya Gorka-Ak-Tash (0-3 km), Myrza-Ake-Kara-Kulja-Alayku (65-110 km), Karakol-Enilchek (45-90 km - Chon-Ashuu pass), and Balikchy-Kazarman-Jalal-Abad (326-349 km - Kok-Art pass), as well as snow drifts, snow cover, and ice.
When passing through areas prone to avalanche danger, drivers should maintain a distance of 500 meters between vehicles.
