A sanitary landfill is planned to be built in the Kemin district for $10 million







A project for the construction of a sanitary landfill is planned in the Kemin district, which will be implemented with the support of the Republic of Korea. This information was provided by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the cooperation with the Korean company MYC Inc. (Make Your Climate), which is a subsidiary of the Ministry of Climate, Energy, and Environment of the Republic of Korea, the first working meeting with a delegation from Korea took place from November 12 to 17.

To obtain grant assistance from the Korean side, a joint study of the lands designated for the construction of the sanitary landfill in the cities of Kemin and Orlovka, located in the Kemin district of the Chui region, was conducted.

The project titled "Construction of a Sanitary Landfill in the Chui Region of Kyrgyzstan" aims to create an integrated waste management system that includes burial, incineration, and sorting to reduce the volume of waste sent to landfills and minimize the impact on nature.

The project implementation period is set from 2027 to 2031, with a total budget of up to $10 million. The executing organization is K-eco Corporation, and the managing organization is KEITI.
