According to information provided by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, during the specified period, 85% of the total volume of transportation consisted of exports from Russia.
This year, the two countries exchanged 1,500 permits for road transport to/from third countries, and in November, Bishkek received approval to issue an additional 500 permits, as reported by the Ministry of Transport.
It should also be noted that in the first ten months of 2025, the volume of railway freight transport between Russia and Kyrgyzstan increased by 7%, and the number of passengers transported by trains rose by 4%. Currently, trains connecting Bishkek with Moscow, Novosibirsk, and Kazan are in operation.
Air transport between the two countries is carried out by eight airlines, which offer 22 routes with a total frequency of 89 flights per week.
Issues of transport cooperation were discussed during the state visit of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to Bishkek, where the Russian delegation also included Minister of Transport Andrey Nikitin.
As a result of the meetings, a joint statement by the presidents was signed on deepening strategic partnership and alliance.
The Ministry reports that the parties are focused on activating cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, including the implementation of digital technologies to optimize transport flows and create favorable conditions for regional interconnectedness within Eurasia.
