Passenger traffic between Russia and Kyrgyzstan has increased by 50 percent - Overchuk

In the first nine months of 2025, passenger traffic between Russia and Kyrgyzstan increased by 50%. This was reported by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Alexey Overchuk, at a press conference in Bishkek, also noting the growth of cargo traffic.

Overchuk emphasized that this year there is also a 17% increase in trade between the two countries. An important factor in this process has been investments, which have reached about $2 billion. The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the economy of Kyrgyzstan is showing impressive results, with GDP growth of over 10% during the specified period.

Additionally, he pointed out the significant contribution of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, which has helped finance over 3,500 enterprises in Kyrgyzstan, amounting to approximately $1 billion.
