The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced the introduction of temporary restrictions on fees for money transfers.
According to the resolution of the Board of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, adopted on December 3, 2025, under number 2025-P-12/64-5-(PS), commercial banks and payment organizations are prohibited from:
- charging fees to individuals for transfers in the national currency made through mobile applications and internet banking within the country;
- also prohibited is charging fees to recipients of international money transfers when received on the territory of the country, if accounts were not opened.
These restrictions will take effect on January 1, 2026, and will be valid until December 31, 2026.
