According to the new regulation, the rates of import duties are now:
sheanuts,
shorea nuts,
sal seeds,
seeds of Indian garcinia,
stones of Indian mango (mangifera indica) and their kernels.
These rates are set at 0% of the customs value and will be in effect until December 31, 2028, inclusive.
According to Vaagn Kazaryan, the director of the Department of Customs-Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation of the EEC, this measure is intended to support companies engaged in the processing of exotic raw materials. This is important for the production of specialized fats, stearins, as well as equivalents and substitutes for cocoa butter, which are used in industries such as the oil and fat, confectionery, and cosmetics industries.
