The main task is to increase export volumes
President Sadyr Japarov has signed a new decree aimed at supporting the jewelry industry and creating favorable conditions for local jewelry production.
The document includes several important initiatives.
Preferences for import and export
Manufacturers will receive benefits for the import of equipment, materials, and technologies necessary for jewelry production. Preferences are also provided for the export of products to international exhibitions and fairs.
Legalization of jewelry
For two months, jewelers will be allowed to legalize products that were imported or produced earlier. During this period, tax audits will not be conducted.
Own hallmark for manufacturers
Domestic producers will be able to voluntarily place a hallmark on their products. Additionally, the possibility of reducing hallmarking fees is being discussed.
Access to raw materials for jewelers
Jewelry companies will be able to purchase precious metals and stones from the State Fund at a reduced price with a payment deferral of up to 180 days. The raw materials will be provided exclusively for production, with no possibility of resale.
Preferential loans for the jewelry industry
The government, together with the NBKR and commercial banks, is developing a preferential financing program for jewelry enterprises.
Creation of new laboratories
A laboratory for testing and hallmarking jewelry is planned to be opened at Manas Airport, and in the future, such laboratories may appear in other regions.
Acceleration of the export process
Work on the mutual recognition of hallmarks in EAEU countries will be intensified, significantly simplifying the export of Kyrgyz jewelry products.
Digitalization of processes
An electronic data exchange system will be implemented, simplifying the reporting process and eliminating duplicative requirements.
These measures are aimed at supporting jewelers, developing the industry, and promoting Kyrgyz products in international markets.
