The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has issued a silver commemorative coin 'Tushoo Kesu'

The coin symbolizes national traditions and rituals


On December 8, 2025, the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan began the release of a silver commemorative coin named "Tushoo Kesu," which is part of the series "Kyrgyz Customs and Rituals." This information was announced by representatives of the financial regulator.

On the obverse side of the coin, a child is depicted taking their first steps, freed from bonds. Next to them are their parents, and in the background are a yurt and children participating in a race related to the ritual of cutting bonds. At the top of the coin, the name "Tushoo Kesu" is inscribed, and on the sides, the silver purity (Ag 925) and the weight of the coin (28.28 g) are indicated, as well as the denomination – "10 som."

The reverse side of the coin features the coat of arms of the Kyrgyz Republic, surrounded by images of bonds. At the top is a stylized drawing of a boy in a kalpak confidently standing on his feet. Around the coin, the inscription "Кыргыз үрп-адаттары жана ырым-жырымдары" (Kyrgyz Customs and Rituals) is placed, and at the bottom, the year of issue is indicated – 2025.

The "Tushoo Kesu" coin is recognized as an official means of payment in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
