A collectible coin dedicated to the ritual of 'Tushoo Kesu' has been released in Kyrgyzstan





The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced the release of a new collectible silver coin "Tushoo Kesu," which is part of the series "Kyrgyz Customs and Rituals." It will be available starting December 8, 2025.

The price of the coin is 6,940 soms. It can be purchased at the cash desks of the National Bank on working days from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, as well as through a specialized website where numismatic values are sold.

The issuance of this coin is aimed at preserving and popularizing the national traditions of the Kyrgyz people, as well as their visual representation.

"Tushoo Kesu" is one of the oldest rituals of the Kyrgyz people, symbolizing the first steps of a child. Previously, parents conducted this ritual to strengthen the child's path, wishing them luck and confidence in the future.
