Since December 20, 2011, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has introduced into circulation a collectible silver coin "Great Silk Road" with a denomination of 10 som as part of the International program of the Eurasian Economic Union countries for the issuance and sale of collectible coins made of precious metals.
The main unifying element of the entire series of collectible coins issued by the central (national) banks of the Eurasian Economic Union countries is the emblem of the Eurasian Economic Union.
On the obverse side of the silver coin "Great Silk Road," the silhouettes of famous architectural and cultural monuments listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites are depicted. In the foreground of the obverse, a stylized route of the Great Silk Road is represented in high-quality gold, with a map of Eurasia in the background. The left side of the coin indicates the metal's fineness and weight (Ag 925/31.10 g), and at the bottom – the denomination of the coin (10 som). On the reverse side of the coin, the state coat of arms of the Kyrgyz Republic, a caravan traveling through the mountains, reflected like a mirage on the mirror surface of the coin, and the year of issue (2011) are presented.
Each silver coin is placed in an acrylic capsule and packaged in a separate box, accompanied by a certificate.
