Kyrgyzstan — CIS — EAEU
Within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States, a priority direction for Kyrgyzstan has been economic interaction within the CIS, with a real move towards a free trade zone. Based on this, the Kyrgyz Republic expressed its agreement to maintain the structure of the economic bodies of the CIS and to form a unified economic zone, in which, in the foreseeable future, the necessary conditions for the free movement of goods, services, capital, and labor can be created.
In the format of the CIS, Kyrgyzstan has always supported the resolution of security issues aimed at coordinated efforts by the member states of the Commonwealth in the fight against international terrorism, political and religious extremism, the illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors, and organized crime. Kyrgyzstan viewed all of this as a long-term task facing the member states of the CIS.
Kyrgyzstan — EurAsEC
One of the significant advantages of the Eurasian Economic Community is its advantageous geographical position as a natural transport bridge between Europe and Asia. By developing this direction through joint efforts, the positions of the member states in the global economy can be significantly strengthened. The functioning of the Transport Union will become one of the most important factors of economic integration, allowing for the full utilization of the transit potential of the EurAsEC countries. Among the measures aimed at creating a unified energy system of the Community and a single energy market, the most important issues for Kyrgyzstan were the formation of a unified energy space and the completion of the construction of the Kambarat-2 hydropower station. The activities of the Kyrgyz Republic within the framework of the EurAsEC are recognized as one of the priorities of Kyrgyzstan's national foreign economic policy.
