"By the end of 2024, GDP per capita in the Kyrgyz Republic amounted to 2513 US dollars"
The Kyrgyz Republic continues to demonstrate positive trends in the economy, which directly affects the growth of investment activity and financial stability. According to the results of 2024, GDP per capita reached 2,513 US dollars, which is 86% higher compared to 2021. It is expected that in 2025 this figure will grow to 2,800 US dollars. These words were spoken by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, during an extended meeting of the committees of the Jogorku Kenesh, where the government's report for 2024, changes to the 2025 budget, as well as the draft law on the republican budget for 2026 and forecasts for 2027-2028 were discussed.
The head of the Cabinet also noted that in 2024, the volume of investments in fixed capital amounted to 283.2 billion soms, which is 18.1% more than in the previous period.
He added that the monetary policy is aimed at maintaining the stability of the national currency - the som.
"Despite negative external factors such as import inflation, macroeconomic stability is maintained in the country, which creates favorable conditions for long-term development and attracting investments," he emphasized.
