She pointed out that according to current regulations, credit bureaus must store:
- positive credit information - 7 years after the full repayment of the debt;
- negative - 5 years;
- data on loans issued by pawnshops - 1 year.
In addition, it is planned to make an amendment according to which the storage period for credit information provided by a liquidated credit institution will be reduced from 5 to 2 years from the date of the last update of the data in the credit history.
The adoption of this draft law will allow:
- to create more comfortable conditions for about 200,000 borrowers who are on the blacklist;
- to increase the availability of loans for individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises;
- to contribute to the development of small and medium-sized businesses;
- to reduce the level of informal lending and the growth of microloans outside the official financial system.
Following the discussion, the parliament supported the draft in the first reading.
