According to the proposed bill, it is planned to adjust the retention periods for credit data:
- positive information — from seven to five years;
- negative information — from five to three years.
In addition, a new provision is introduced, according to which information about negative credit transactions amounting to less than 10,000 soms will be retained for only one year.
The ministry is confident that the adoption of these changes will create more comfortable conditions for borrowers on the blacklist and simplify access to loans for both individuals and entrepreneurs.
Deputy Marlen Mamataliyev proposed to increase the threshold amount for credit transactions, for which negative information will be stored for one year, to 100,000 soms. Another deputy, Dastanbek Jumabekov, advocated for extending the retention periods for positive credit histories so that banks could better track responsible borrowers.
As a result of the discussion, the committee members unanimously approved the concept of the bill in the first reading.
